A volunteer SARS volunteer critical care team was mobilised to a road traffic collision yesterday afternoon. The incident involved a motorcyclist and another vehicle. The SARS team were first on scene but fortunately the patient had sustained only minor injuries.

National newspaper volunteer award nomination

Congratulations to SARS critical care paramedic, Rod Wells who was shortlisted for outstanding volunteer at the Sun newspaper's inaugural Who Cares Wins awards. Rod was nominated for his voluntary work for SARS and the RNLI. Rod is pictured (on the right) with Paul, a SARS patient, whose life he helped save and presenter Penny Lancaster.
